Happy New Year! I hope the New Year finds you all happy, healthy, and enjoying life in our little slice of heaven.
December Homeowners Meeting
We had our December meeting on the 6th and had a great turnout of the officers and directors. The major items on the agenda were the Christmas Yard Contest, the Cemetery and Park continuing cleanup, the progress on the turnaround at the bottom of Paradise Bay Drive, and the progress on the revised covenants.
Congratulations to our Christmas Yard Contest winners! I believe the neighborhood looks great around the holidays. Thanks to everyone who took the time and effort to help bring in the spirit of the holidays We are continuing our efforts to keep the park and the cemetery clean, some of the work needs to be contracted out to be done and this effort is in progress. The county has approved putting in a cul-de-sac at the bottom of Paradise Bay drive and we believe they are waiting until the beginning of the year to start this project.
In order to bring our covenants up to current law so that we can protect our homes and home values, the board has been working on revising the current covenants. You should be hearing more about this in the near future and how it will impact you and your neighbors.
Out and about
It still makes me smile, after living here almost twenty years now, just what a great neighborhood we live in. Families come and go but the heart of our neighborhood is still as friendly and helpful as it was the year I moved into Paradise Bay. Let’s remember just why we all move in here, the quiet, the nicely kept yards, and the friendly neighbors. Don’t forget to keep an eye on your neighbor’s house or the lady down the street who might be having a hard time getting her paper. Let’s keep this place a Paradise. -Biff Wheeler
